Gators Season Ticket Sales are Down

With next Saturday’s season opener at home against Charleston Southern on the horizon the Gators have sold 58,000 season tickets, including 14,500 of 18,500 student tickets available.

This is down around 5,000 season tickets overall, based on figures provided last August when UF was on pace to sell 50,000 season tickets to non-students.

The Gators’ reported attendance of 86,715 per game last season was 11th in the nation — the school’s 13th straight year in the top 12, according to the NCAA.

Mullen’s passion and optimism has energized an apathetic fan base since his late November hiring to replace Jim McElwain.

But the combination of a 4-7 2017 season, a lackluster 2018 home schedule and the nationwide trend of declining tickets in college football have delivered strong headwinds to Mullen’s plan to pack the Swamp on Saturdays.
