Urban Meyer Issues Statement Clarifying Suspension

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has released another statement on twitter, attempting to clarify the reason for which he was suspended by the school. In his statement, Meyer stated that he did not get suspended for his knowledge and lack of action regarding Zach Smith's alleged domestic violence:

"My fault was in not taking action sooner against a troubled employee about his work-related issues." - Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer

Meyer is suspended from the program through September 2nd. Ohio State opens the season against Oregon State under Ryan Day, OSU's interim head coach.
