Leonard Fournette admits he "Could be in better shape"

After an impressive rookie campaign, Leonard Fournette has struggled to stay on the field and has failed to be productive when on the field. When meeting with the media he admitted he "could be in better shape," but added he's "fine though".  Fournette has missed 6 games due to injury this season and another due to suspension. He has a total of 396 yards and 4 touchdowns on 3.4 yards per carry this season.

It has been documented that Fournette has been featured less in the offense as the season has worn on this year, including last week when he did not touch the ball in the second half. But members of the coaching staff insist the want him to be part of the game plan.  “You always want to get a back like Leonard the ball,” said quarterbacks coach Scott Milanovich, the offensive playcaller. “The plan was to play both of those guys a little bit and get them some reps. There were situations where we had to throw it, but we had some touches and then he came out. There were some circumstances that led to that.”

Leonard Fournette is not listed on the injury report heading into the Jaguars game vs Miami on Sunday.
