Kyler Murray took some time yesterday to talk to reporters and give a statement as to why he chose to go to the NFL rather than report to the A's training camp.
“The night I got drafted to the A’s — obviously it was a great day of my life — but I’ve been a football player my whole life. I didn’t know how the NFL felt about me before this season because I hadn’t played."
Murray is a potential first-round pick and could be the first quarterback off the board come April.
